CARSTIC is a mass-produced are engineerbot built by Buy n Large. It is an arm on the ceiling of the repair ward and repairs reject bots.
When a malfunctioning or broken robot enters the Repair Ward, it is at first scanned by a CARSTIC unit. Next, a second one gives the robot a red boot (a device that can instantly turn them off when needed) turn it off. Then a third CARSTIC unit takes the robot to the waiting area or the diagnostic room. When WALL-E accidentally damages the switch, the robotic arms get turned off causing the neon walls to open releasing the other reject bots.
